Job Description:

Designation: Manager – Warehouse

Location: Bhiwandi, Thane, Maharashtra

Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Warehouse Manager to lead and optimize our B2C & B2B warehousing division, driving efficient, end-to-end fulfilment across all channels. This role carries a strong mandate for inventory accuracy and returns/reverse-logistics management, in addition to day-to-day warehouse operations, making it critical to both customer experience and cost control.

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations & Multi-Channel Fulfilment

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations for multi-channel fulfilment (D2C/e-commerce, marketplace, and B2B/retail), ensuring accurate inventory control, efficient picking/packing, and timely dispatch.
  • Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, maintaining excellent customer satisfaction by supervising, organizing, directing, and supporting warehouse teams.
  • Implement, enforce, and continuously improve SOPs, ensuring all processes are followed without deviation.
  • Lead and manage performance output across your assigned areas, including people management, process improvements, and operational metrics.
  • Drive operational discipline by monitoring adherence to instructions, process guidelines, and standardized workflows.
  • Own the end-to-end returns process across both B2C (customer returns, RTO) and B2B (channel/retailer returns), covering receipt, inspection, grading, and disposition.

Inventory & Fulfilment Control

  • Maintain strong oversight of inventory accuracy, storage management, stock variance control, and replenishment discipline.
  • Own the end-to-end inventory lifecycle: receiving/GRN, put-away, bin/location mapping, batch and expiry tracking (FEFO/FIFO), and stock reconciliation across systems (WMS/ERP).
  • Drive quick exception identification and resolution like inventory mismatches, process deviations, damage cases, and other operational blockers to maintain seamless fulfilment.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical stock audits, investigate variances and close them with documented root-cause analysis and corrective action while identifying improvement areas and implementing process-driven solutions.

Team Leadership & Coordination

  • Supervise, train, and develop warehouse executives, associates, and support staff to build a high performing, accountable team.
  • Establish, monitor, and manage operational goals and KPIs for the team, conduct performance reviews and coaching.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, safety, and continuous improvement across shifts, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment through established standards, procedures, and legal/regulatory compliance.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 6–7+ years of operations leadership experience in a fast-paced, process-driven warehousing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or M.B.A. preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of FMCG distribution, multi-channel fulfillment, inventory management, and order processing.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and draw conclusions from operational data.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, WMS, and other warehousing technologies.
  • Strong decision-making abilities, complex problem-solving skills, and high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills across levels.
  • Team player with the ability to drive projects to completion within deadlines.
